Self-denial is the act or process of surrendering self-will and embracing God’s will. Jesus gives self-denial as an essential mark of discipleship in Matthew 16:24. In this session of “Healthy Habits of the Christian Life,” Dr. Wilfred Graves Jr. will describe several important ways in which believers can deny themselves for the purpose of following Christ and he will conclude with a few comments about the spiritual benefits of fasting.
